DDAP | UNIVERSAL PPD PROJECT
Introduction

The DDAP Association has created a Universal PPD (PostScript Printer Description) that may be used for all your print files, no matter what their final destination. It alleviates the time-consuming inconvenience of having to use multiple PPD's for multiple jobs, or even multiple PPD's for a single job going to multiple output devices.

Working with over twenty-five representatives of publishers, prepress providers and printers, DDAP developed a PPD that is device independent. In addition, in order to ensure "good file" creation, DDAP recommends specific Printer Drivers and offers "How To" procedures for the most commonly used application programs.
